Here's a guide to master Chano, the Chief of Wolves from Chonnokh.
Honor of Kings introduced a new hero, Chano, in the Season 9 midseason update. The Chief of Wolves is a marksman that has extremely high turret-pushing power and poking damage. He excels in skirmishes in the early game, and has terrifying late-game damage potential thanks to his wolves and the ability to fire while moving.
Chano was born in Chonnokh, and was a victim of the King of Vermilia's aggression in the region to find the prophesied destroyer of Vermilia. However, he survived after a pack of wolves carried the infant Chano and raised him as one of the cubs. All grown up, he has gazed at the Sunfall and vowed to defeat the darkness surrounding Chonnokh and Northlands, and become its future king.
Here’s a breakdown of Chano's skills, his best equipment and arcana, plus a few tips on how to play him effectively:
Skills breakdown

Passive: Hunting
While in the brush, Chano gains 10-20% increased Movement Speed and accumulates Concealment, which reaches its maximum after one second. When leaving the brush, he consumes Concealment to perform a leap, with the distance increasing based on the amount of Concealment. Upon entering the brush, his next Basic Attack will be enhanced to fire two consecutive arrows, each dealing 60% Physical Attack physical damage. The enhanced Basic Attack has a four-second cooldown.
Skill 1: Soaring Signal
Chano leaps into the air, gaining a Movement Speed boost and the ability to traverse terrain. While airborne, his Basic Attack is enhanced into a powerful long-range arrow, dealing (250 to 500+145% Physical Attack) physical damage and knocking back enemies (not considered a crowd control effect) while also extending his time in the air.
His enhanced Basic Attack damage increases by two for every 1% Attack Speed.
If he does not use the enhanced Basic Attack while airborne, he will store an enhanced Basic Attack with normal Attack Range for three seconds upon landing.
If the movement wheel is tilted in the opposite direction of the enemy when using his enhanced Basic Attack in midair, he will dash for a short distance in that direction.
Skill 2: Lupine trap
Chano throws a wolf spirit trap at the target location, exposing the enemy that triggers it and dealing (180-360+70% Physical Attack) physical damage. A wolf spirit is also summoned at the trap's location to attack the enemy that triggered it.
Traps become invisible two seconds after deploying. Up to four traps can be deployed simultaneously. The wolf spirits inherit 25% of Chano's base stats and half of his Critical Damage. Each attack by the wolf slows the target by five to 10% for one second, for up to five stacks.
Ultimate: Leader Stance
Chano activates his Leader Stance, summoning (2+ Lupine Trap charges) wolf spirit to charge in a designated direction, consuming stored charges of Lupine trap and activating all nearby traps. He gains the Mounted Archery ability, allowing him to move while attacking and increasing his Movement Speed by 10 to 20%, Physical Attack by 50 to 100, and Attack Speed by 20 to 40% for 8 seconds.
Each Basic Attack activates nearby targetless wolf spirit to join the attack.
Arcana

This build uses four Arcana for Chano: 8 Reaver, 2 Hunt, 10 Eagle Eye, and 10 Calamity. These Arcana focus on enhancing his Critical Rate and Physical Lifesteal. These also give Chano a slight Physical Pierce to deal more damage to the enemy beefy Roamer in the early stages. These bonuses also benefit his wolves.

These are essential situational items for the late game. Sage’s Sanctuary provides a second life, while Destiny prevents him from dying for a few seconds. Try to do an equipment swap by selling his boots and buying the item fast.
How to play Chano
Chano is extremely fragile early on and must rely on his traps to deal damage and detect enemy ganks. There are two ways to use his traps. The first is by using it defensively, spreading it to nearby brushes to prevent enemy jungler ganks. The second way is to use it aggressively as a follow-up to your knockback, as it will instantly spawn a wolf near your target.
Chano is starting to shine when he gets his ultimate, Leader Stance. He can move while attacking and delivers extremely reliable slow using his wolves. However, be careful not to overextend when using his ultimate, as Chano is still very fragile.
His potential lies in the late game when he completes his core items. He can shred anything with his ultimate and deliver potent damage using Soaring Signal. He can also mow down turrets instantly with his ultimate and his wolves, as they can become Chano's shield against them.
Chano can become extremely dangerous if nurtured. However, his reliance on items can become a double-edged sword, as early aggressions against him can lead to his failure to carry the game to victory.
