Viva La Dirt League reveals release date for new game Nice Day For Fishing
Nice Day For Fishing is an upcoming adventure RPG from Viva La Dirt League, based after the comedy YouTube channel’s Epic NPC Man series. The game follows a humble fisherman named Baelin, who becomes the last adventurer in the town of Honeywood following a disastrous accident, and must now save the town from rising evils.
While that might sound like an epic hack-and-slash game, Nice Day For Fishing would be better described as a fight-and-fish game. Players will explore the lands and battle against fish, engaging in combat against marine life by casting powerful spells and timing their blocks and attacks.
By collecting useful materials from around the world, they will be able to restore their destroyed village, and discover powerful spells and upgrades. They can also complete their fishing collection, and receive blessings of powerful spells for doing so. Catch fish, fight fish, and rebuild a town–all in a day’s work for this fisherman.
Nice Day For Fishing launches on 29 May, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. A demo for the game is also available on Steam.
