HoYoverse is teasing three upcoming characters for its big Version 2.0 update.
HoYoverse is finally ready to reveal its next three upcoming characters in Zenless Zone Zero, all of whom are set to make their debut in the action-RPG’s upcoming Version 2.0 update. Via drip marketing on its social media channels, the game developer revealed the following characters: Yixuan, Pan Yinhu, and Ju Fufu.

Zenless Zone Zero 2.0: Yixuan
First up is the Version 2.0 headliner: Yixuan, a Void Hunter-level Agent who made a brief appearance in Version 1.7’s new story content this month. Her Specialty and Attribute appear to be all-new to the game, judging by their symbols, and thus are currently unknown. Yixuan is the current leader of the Yunkui Summit faction, which will serve a major role in the game’s Season 2 storyline.
A few lines of dialogue give us a sense of her sarcastic teacher-like personality–like offering to teach players “how to read celestial omens and predict the weather" by taking “hastily-sketched talismans and use them as you need." After that, all they have to do is use the weather app, never mind all that stuff about talismans.
Lesson learned: don’t ask Yixuan dumb questions. Judging by the rest of her Agent Record, she’s currently mentoring Ju Fufu (more on her later), and bears some resemblance to the “Qingming Bird.” She also doesn’t suffer mediocrity when it comes to her students, so Phaetons beware.
Zenless Zone Zero 2.0: Pan Yinhu
Meet Po–I mean, Pan Yinhu, an upcoming Physical Defense Agent. Pan Yinhu joins Ju Fufu and Yixuan as part of the new Yunkui Summit faction. Judging by his Agent Record, the cuddly panda appears to be a soft-spoken cook, taking care of Ju Fufu by whipping up some broccoli-laden noodles for her. Yixuan does note that he can be a bit stubborn, citing an incident where he almost mistook bird drool for bird’s nest soup. Yikes.
His negotiation skills are so sharp that they’ve become subject to complaints, and a currently-unrevealed character named Ye Shiyuan notes that he’s good at keeping people’s bellies full.
Zenless Zone Zero 2.0: Ju Fufu
Zenless Zone Zero players might remember Ju Fufu from her cameos in earlier version updates. The upcoming Fire Stun Agent will launch as part of the new Yunkui Summit faction. She has close ties to Pan Yinhu and Yixuan, the latter of whom is her mentor.
Her Agent Record seems to hint that she's a foodie, as Pan Yinhu specifically offers to cook up some noodles–so long as Ju Fufu’s snacks aren't touched. Yixuan teasingly calls her a “Super Scary Tiger.” A more ominous message from “a person whose barbed tongue is stained with blood and bone” states that a tiger thiren gets its stripes from marking another of its kind as “first blood,” suggesting Ju Fufu might have a rather dark past.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.0 launches this June.
