PARIVISION defeat Team Spirit to claim the championship of ESL One Raleigh 2025

Satanic put on a show against his former team to lead PARIVISION to their second tournament victory as an organisation.

PARIVISION have been crowned as champions of ESL One Raleigh 2025 after they capped off a lower bracket run with a 3-1 rout over Team Spirit in the best-of-five grand finals on Monday (14 April). This marks PARIVISION's second tournament victory since they won ESL One Bangkok 2024 last December, and their first since Alan “Satanic” Gallyamov joined the squad on loan from Spirit.

With their victory, PARIVISION claimed the grand prize of US$290,000 out of the tournament's US$1 million prize pool, with US$250,000 of those winnings going directly to the players while the other US$40,000 was awarded to the organisation. Meanwhile, Spirit settled for second place and will take home US$165,000 in consolation.

As the grand finalists of ESL One Raleigh, both PARIVISION and Spirit also earned a nice haul of ESL Pro Tour (EPT) points, and are now the first and second-placed teams, respectively, on the EPT Season 3 Leaderboard. Both teams are also guaranteed a spot at the Esports World Cup 2025's Dota 2 tournament, which will be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in July, with a US$3 million prize pool.

PARIVISION defeat Spirit to claim victory in ESL One Raleigh

PARIVISION were quick to establish themselves as a contender for the championship in Raleigh, finishing the Group Stage as the top seed of Group A with a 9-1 record–the best out of all teams in the Group Stage–and earning an upper bracket berth in the Playoffs. PARIVISION's only loss of the Group Stage notably came from a 1-1 draw with Spirit, who became the second seed of Group A with a 8-2 standing.

After their stellar start in the Group Stage, PARIVISION stumbled in the opening match of the Playoffs. The team fell to a 2-1 reverse sweep at the hands of Tundra Esports, and were knocked down to the lower bracket. While their eventual grand finals opponents had to take the long way through the lower bracket, Spirit took down Team Falcons and Tundra to become ESL One Raleigh's first grand finalists.

PARIVISION's lower bracket run saw them take down Team Liquid and BetBoom Team, before getting their revenge over Tundra in the lower bracket finals and earning the right to challenge Spirit in the championship round.

The grand finals kicked off with a bloody, back-and-forth affair, with PARIVISION emerging victorious after scoring a crucial pickoff on Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk's Terrorblade at the 35-minute mark that allowed them to quickly demolish Spirit's base and take their opening win of the series after 37 minutes. Satanic paced his team's 19-16 kill lead in finals opener with five kills and four assists on two deaths as Morphling, while Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin on Terrorblade added four kills and seven assists on two deaths.

PARIVISION then continued rolling in game two, stomping Spirit to the tune of a 25-8 kill lead in 36 minutes. Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko on Tiny, DM on Bristleback, and Naltakyan “9Class” Edgar on Ringmaster each notched six kills and combined for 35 assists; with 9class tanking five deaths, No[o]ne having one, and DM finishing the game without conceding a single death. Satanic on Templar Assassin also pitched in with five kills and three assists on one death.

With their backs against the wall in game three, Spirit shrugged off a surprise Techies pick for Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin, and earned their only win of the series in 40 minutes. Denis “Larl” Sigitov on Leshrac fueled his team's 34-16 kill lead with 12 kills and 17 assists on two deaths, while Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk on a carry Tiny added eight kills and 17 assists on three deaths.

Despite Spirit's best efforts to force the grand finals to a deciding fifth game, a masterclass performance from Satanic on Templar Assassin allowed PARIVISION to close out the 3-1 grand finals victory in a 39-minute rout. The young carry player that Spirit loaned to PARIVISION put up a perfect 14 kills and four assists to defeat his former team. No[o]ne on Storm Spirit also recorded seven kills and 16 assists on one death out of the final 26-10 kill score.
