In its tweet, EA delivered a teaser: “Join us at #StarWars Celebration on 19 April for a panel with Bit Reactor, Respawn, and Lucasfilm Games, where we’ll share a world-exclusive first look at our new game.”
Developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars Zero Company will be unveiled during a special panel at Star Wars Celebration Japan. The event will take place on 19 April, 2025 at 4:30 PM JST. Fans can catch the first exclusive details and stay updated via StarWars.com after the panel.
Since acquiring the Star Wars license in 2013, EA has produced a variety of Star Wars games, including Battlefront, Jedi: Fallen Order, and Squadrons. While the company has faced some controversy in the past, particularly regarding microtransactions, it has also delivered some critically acclaimed titles, particularly with Jedi: Fallen Order and its sequel.
However, the history of Star Wars games includes notable contributions from other developers, with Knights of the Old Republic, Republic Commando, and the LEGO Star Wars games standing out as fan favourites from previous generations.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts, achieved significant commercial success following its release in November 2019. By March 2020, EA reported that the game had sold over 10 million copies, surpassing initial sales projections.
In June 2021, Respawn announced that more than 20 million players had experienced Fallen Order across all platforms and services, including purchases and access via subscription services like EA Play and Xbox Game Pass. The game's success led to the development of a sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, released in 2023. By September 2024, EA reported that the combined player count for both titles had exceeded 40 million.
More details on Star Wars Zero Company will be revealed on 19 April, 2025.
