Apex Legends Mobile will launch in Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and other selected countries next week.

Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have announced that Apex Legends Mobile is finally getting a limited release in selected countries next week. The battle royale game’s mobile version previously went through regional beta tests in 2021.

This limited release sees Apex Legends Mobile launch in the following countries on Android and iOS devices: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and Colombia. A global launch will follow once Respawn is done testing the game in these selected regions.

So, what will this version of the game consist of? As far as Legends go, you’ll be able to play as Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Wraith, Bangalore, Octane, Mirage, Pathfinder, and Caustic. These are mostly the baseline Legends available to players upon the game’s original release (minus Octane), and later characters such as Wattson, Ash and Loba are not playable just yet for now.

Apex Legends Mobile is a version of Respawn’s battle royale game specifically built for mobile platforms, so unfortunately it will not support cross-play with the console and PC versions of the game. If you’re able to jump in next week, you should know that the game will not be supported on iOS devices with less than 2GB RAM and Android devices with less than 3GB RAM. Here are the game’s minimum requirements:

For Android:

  • Android 8.1
  • Open GL 3.0 or higher
  • 3 GB free space
  • At least 3 GB RAM
  • Screens size: N/L/XL

For iOS:

  • iPhone 6S or later
  • OS version: 10.0 or later
  • CPU: A9
  • 3 GB free space
  • At least 2GB RAM
