Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has released the Trygon Update with a new PvE mission and two new Space Marine cosmetics.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has dropped its atest update to the series, the Trygon Update. The newly-released content featured a new PvE mission called Exfiltration mission, featuring the Trygons species of Tyranids itself. The mission is set on the outskirts of an Imperial Hive City on the planet Avarax. Players are tasked with rescuing a rogue Tech-priest from a Mechanicus facility while fending off Tyranid threats.
The update also introduces a Prestige system for PvE, allowing players to reset their class progress after reaching the maximum level. Each Prestige rank unlocks unique perks and cosmetic rewards, incentivising players to continue mastering their class. This system adds much-needed depth to character progression, and ensures veteran players have new goals to strive for.
The Trygon Update expands the Space Marine arsenal with the addition of the Inferno Pistol, a secondary weapon available for Sniper, Heavy, Assault, and Vanguard classes. Marines can also enjoy new customisation options, including colours like Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue, and the ability to recolour cloth, tabards, and hoods across all classes.
Perhaps the most exciting addition to the Trygon Update, besides the new mission, is the access to two new DLC packs: the Space Wolves Chapter Pack and the Imperial Fists Champion Pack. These packs include exclusive cosmetics, such as weapon skins and champion outfits for the player's Space Marine, celebrating the sheer legacy of these iconic chapters.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has captivated players with its chaotic action and rich lore since its release. The Trygon Update enhances the gameplay experience and reaffirms the developers' commitment to supporting the game with meaningful content. With more updates planned for the future, including the sequel of Space Marine 2, which is reportedly in development, the Warhammer 40,000 community has much to look forward to.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2's Trygon Update can be played now on all released platforms.
