With one day left in the group stage of Elite League, Team Spirit find themselves eliminated alongside HEROIC and Blacklist International.
Elite League is the final premier tournament on Dota 2 patch 7.36. Sometime next week after the tournament ends, Dota 2 patch 7.36 is expected to brace the game.
The question that remains before Ring Master enters the game is – who will take the top spot at Elite League? Well, it won’t be TI12 and Riyadh Masters champions, Team Spirit. The Eastern European team was eliminated in the group stage of the tournament after registering just one series win out of the six played till now. That guarantees them a place in the bottom four of the group along with HEROIC, meaning the two teams don’t have a chance to progress even if they win their final series.

In Group B, Blacklist International are the only team that have been eliminated. It is a much closer group than Group A, and there is a good chance we will be getting some tiebreakers to decide which four teams proceed to the playoffs.

Team Falcons are the only team to have made it through, but the caveat is, they have played all their games in the group stage. However, they are guaranteed the top spot in Group A, because no other team can get to 10 wins. Their only series loss was to OG, who managed to keep their chances high by pulling off the upset against Team Falcons.
Team Spirit is a team that peaks towards the end of the season. They showed that last year as well, when after a mediocre season, the TI10 champions ended the year strong with a win at Riyadh Masters and TI12. They will be the team to watch out for in two to three months, and the upcoming change in meta works in their favour as it will reset things to an extent.
The team to beat is Team Falcons. They are on a roll, having won BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 and DreamLeague Season 22. The MENA outfit will be trying to make it a hattrick of tournament wins by attempting to win Elite League. The final games of the group stage will determine which teams will make it through to challenge them for the top spot.
