New year, new players. Tundra Esports has announced two new players joining its formidable Dota 2 roster.
Tundra Esports has unveiled massive changes to its Dota 2 roster heading into the new year. The champions of The International (TI) 2022 have benched Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko and welcomed two prominent players in former Gaimin Gladiators carry player Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov and former OG mid laner Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov.
Tundra Esports’ Dota 2 roster for 2025 is as follows:
- Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov
- Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
- Neta “33” Shapira
- Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
A short stint for Nightfall as dyrachyo steps in
Three-month stints have become increasingly common in the Dota 2 scene as professional players frequently switch teams as the continue to search for the best squad to help them succeed. A recent example of this is Nightfall's brief tenure with Tundra Esports. After joining the organization on October 1, 2024, he has now been placed on the bench.
Nightfall's departure came as a surprise, as he helped Tundra achieve two runner-up finishes at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and BLAST Slam I during his time with Tundra. However, the team faced setbacks in November, failing to qualify for ESL One Bangkok and finishing 5th in DreamLeague Season 24.
With Nightfall benched, Tundra Esports has announced that dyrachyo will take over as their new position one player. Dyrachyo previously played for Gaimin Gladiators, where he enjoyed significant success, winning all three Majors in 2023 and securing a second place finish at TI 2023. However, 2024 was less successful for the team, leading to dyrachyo’s departure after another second place finish at TI 2024.
Big shoes to fill for bzm
An intriguing addition to Tundra's already formidable lineup is the Bulgarian prodigy bzm. The 19-year-old midlaner is best known for his impressive three-year stint with OG. Since departing from OG in September 2024, bzm had brief stints as a stand-in for NAVI in PGL Wallachia Season 2 and with a Bulgarian stack in a couple of tier 4 events.
Bzm's entry into Tundra marks the start of his next major venture as the 2025 Dota 2 season gets underway. Excitingly, he will be stepping into the shoes of fellow OG alumni Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, who retired following TI 2024. While the expectations for bzm will undoubtedly be high, his reputation has him more than capable of the challenge.
With the new Tundra Esports lineup, we can expect nothing less than an epic spectacle — don't miss it!
