MLBB: A quiet few weeks

With all the MPL wrapped up, we take a look at what we are looking forward to in the world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

This recent weekend saw the culmination of the final Mobile Legends Professional League tournament of 2023, with the Philippines finding AP.Bren as their champion – while Blacklist International took yet another second-place finish. Now that all of those are wrapped up, we look ahead to the next week, where we will be far more relaxed, regaining our voices after the epic weekend.

M5 this way comes

With all the MPL tournaments now over, and even all the qualifiers done, all our attention is mainly centered around the M5 World Championships. In this last year, we have seen a stunning array of teams fighting and the Land of Dawn will accept its new challengers later this year, beginning with the Wildcard tournament. Our first stop for M5 brings in a new feature, the Wildcard, where eight teams will fight for two spots at the main event. This event takes place from November 23rd through to the 26th, before December 2nd will see the start of the M5 Group Stage.

While we do know the teams heading into the Wildcard Tournament, we are still awaiting news on rosters, as well as the Group Stage draw. With this event bringing in regions such as Mongolia, China, South Asia, and an array of other regions too, it’s definitely going to one to make history for the M-Series.

Keeping pro-MLBB going

Although we may still have a month before M5, there is another tournament in between to hold us over, that being the ONE Esports MPL Invitational or MPLI. 2023. This event features many of the best teams from around the globe, some of which are heading to M5 too – and can be seen as a great “practice” ground for those teams. However, a big change in this year’s iteration is the inclusion of China, North America, and even MENA regions.

While ONIC Esports, the champions of Indonesia, withdrew, we will still see the likes of Team Flash, AP.Bren, and, Rex Regum Qeon, among the 16 participating teams. MPLI runs from November 15th through to the 19th, giving us some amazing MLBB action to keep us all going until M5.

Looking back

One final thing which we will definitely be doing this week is taking a look back at some of our favourite moments from all the MPL events. Some of these were in the grand finals, while others were throughout the playoffs or during the Regular Season. Some options are the MPL ID Season 12 upper bracket finals between ONIC and Geek Fam ID, the Team Flash comeback in MPL SG Season 6, and even the lower bracket series between Bleed Esports and Vanguard Esports from the same event - which saw two SAVAGES from Luxion Stain.

For now, that is all we have for this week, as we await information on the rosters of teams for M5, the patch on which the tournament will be played, and any other aspects that may come to light between now and the Wildcard. Be sure to stay tuned to our MLBB tab for all the updates regarding the upcoming culmination of an amazing MLBB year.
