After a storied five-year run, Blacklist International's time in Mobile Legends esports may soon be coming to an end.

Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza, the coach of Blacklist International, has hinted that the team's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) division may soon be coming to its end after he thanked his fans for joining the team's “last dance” on a stream on his official Facebook page.

After Blacklist International were knocked out of the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 APAC - Challenge Season in 8th place, BON CHAN told his fans not to be sad about whatever will happen in a few days and apologized because he couldn't do more. Here is a translation of the coach's statement.

“Thank you, guys, for joining our journey! Again, don't be sad about whatever will happen in a few days, even if it's stories and memories, you all became a big part of it... Sorry, but this is the only thing I can do for you. #BreakTheCode”

While nothing official has been announced yet, fans interpreted BON CHAN's post as a sign of Blacklist International's disbandment. However, it could also be a parting gift from BON CHAN for when he left the team, as the phrase “last dance” could also be taken as the roster's last outing together.

In a separate post, BON CHAN also commended his players for their efforts in their final tournament together.

Thank you for all the love and support! Even if there's no certainty about what future awaits us and through all the stresss and baggage, you all fought to the last. I hope we were able to make [our fans] happy with this parting gift. Until next time!

The speculation regarding Blacklist International's disbandment stems from rumours that there will be new teams joining the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines for its 15th season. This rumour was popularised by Aurora Gaming content creator and former Blacklist International player Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna in a recent stream, where he claimed that Saudi Arabia-based organisation Team Falcons will be one of two new teams set to join MPL Philippines soon.

With two new teams joining the league, two existing ones will have to leave to make way for the newcomers. While OhMyV33nus didn't mention specifically which teams will be making their exit, the community speculated Blacklist International and RSG Philippines would be the two departing teams.

Both teams already showed signs of their departure, with RSG Philippines recently hosting a garage sale of gear and equipment from their bootcamp and BON CHAN now saying that Blacklist International have finished their last dance. While no announcements by both organisations have been made yet, it is expected that developments on this front will be made official in the coming days.
