23savage returns to his home region and his former after spending seven months in Western Europe with OG.
Thai star carry player Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon is making his return to his home region of Southeast Asia to play for his former team,
Talon Esports, after spending the last seven months with
OG in Western Europe. 23savage has rejoined Talon on loan from OG, which he left in late March after a devastating start to the 2025 Dota 2 esports season.
At Talon, 23savage will team up with some of Southeast Asia’s best talents, including Indonesian midlaner Rafli Fathur “Mikoto” Rahman and Filipino captain
Carlo “KuKu” Palad. The rest of Talon’s roster includes Malaysian offlaner
Chung “Ws`” Wei Shen and Indonesian position 4 support player
Tri “Jhocam” Kuncoro.
23savage returns to Talon Esports
Southeast Asia has produced many iconic Dota 2 players, but few have reached the level of 23savage. Alongside an impressive competitive track record, 23savage also consistently ranks among the highest on the MMR leaderboard, currently ranked first in Southeast Asia.
From 2021 to 2024, 23savage built a strong career in his home region, which eventually led to him joining OG in October last year. This move marked his first time playing in Europe, the most competitive region in the scene. During his time with the two-time The International winning organisation, 23savage played alongside prolific players like Leon “Nine” Kirilin and
Sébastien “Ceb” Debs.
Despite the star-studded lineup, the team struggled and fell short in key tournaments. One of the biggest disappointments was missing out on ESL One Bangkok 2024, a tournament that was especially meaningful for 23savage since it was hosted in his home country.
After a string of poor results, OG parted ways with its roster in March and 23savage was moved to the inactive list. Now, fans celebrate his homecoming as he reclaims his seat in the Talon Esports household. He shares a rich history with Talon, with the team achieving major results during 2022 and 2023, including third place finishes at the Lima Major and Riyadh Masters 2023.
With one of Southeast Asia’s best players back on its top team, the region looks to make a strong comeback on the global stage. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to see them in action. Talon is set to compete in DreamLeague Season 26 starting on 19 May to fight for a spot at the Esports World Cup 2025's Dota 2 competition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this July.
