Included in the garage sale are a used smartphone, gaming chairs, and even a fridge to top it all off.
RSG Philippines, a longtime Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitor in the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines, recently announced they will hold a garage sale in their boot camp. The sale included the usual RSG merchandise as well as used boot camp equipment such as gaming chairs, a smartphone, a fridge, and a PC set.
While items such as merchandise were expected to be sold, a fridge and PC set were more bizarre, as if they were relocating from the boot camp itself or raising money for a cause. However, fans speculated that it was a sign that RSG Philippines would leave MPL Philippines before the start of its 15th season.
Although no official announcement was made, RSG Philippines' sudden garage sale only served to fan ongoing rumours that the organisation would leave MPL Philippines. Their slot will most likely be filled by the forthcoming Team Falcons, which will be ending their partnership with Bren Esports. The Saudi-based team were also rumoured to be acquiring every Falcons AP.Bren player, thus leaving the Bren Esports roster empty.
This was speculated to be a way for Team Falcons to be able to participate in the Esports World Cup 2025 and still receive the Club Championship Points. The recently established rules stated that the joint venture teams from 2024 will not gain any Club Championship Points and must register only one organisation name in their roster across every title unless the publisher requests an exception.
Fnatic had already decided not to renew its partnership with ONIC Esports and chose to part ways with the Indonesian organisation. This included the world champion Fnatic ONIC Philippines, which will be known as only ONIC Philippines.
While nothing is set in stone yet, a sign like a garage sale with a fridge, PC set, and smartphone on the list could make a strong case for RSG Philippines' disbandment.
