DreamLeague Season 25 will be the first ESL Pro Tour event of 2025, featuring a $1 million prize pool.
The past week was a battleground for Dota 2 qualifiers as teams fought to secure their spots in the upcoming DreamLeague Season 25, the first ESL Pro Tour (EPT) event of the year. As with every DreamLeague event, this 25th edition will be held online and features a massive $1 million prize pool, now a standard in most Dota 2 competitions.
The qualifiers spanned seven regions, including the newly established Middle East and Southwest Asia (MESWA) region. Joining MESWA were the traditional regions: Western Europe (WEU), Eastern Europe (EEU), China (CN), Southeast Asia (SEA), North America (NA), and South America (SA).

How teams earned their invitations
The four teams receiving direct invitations to DreamLeague Season 25 are the current leaders on the EPT Leaderboard: PARIVISION, BetBoom Team, Team Falcons, and Team Liquid.
The EPT Leaderboard ranks teams based on the points they earn from high placements in EPT events, such as previous DreamLeagues and ESL One LAN tournaments. As ESL’s Dota 2 competitive circuit, the EPT was launched in March 2023 and is widely regarded as the successor to Valve Software’s now-discontinued Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC).
DreamLeague Season 25 is the next major highlight of the EPT calendar, scheduled to run from February 16 to March 2. Before this tournament kicks off, Dota 2 fans can also look forward to othe Tier 1 events, including Blast SLAM II and FISSURE Playground I.
