After we had already seen both Alter Ego and Rebellion Zion eliminated from MPL ID Season 10’s Playoffs, today we would wave goodbye to another team, with AURA Fire and Bigetron Alpha going head-to-head in the lower bracket. For the victor, a spot in the lower bracket final awaited – while the losing squad would have to watch their hopes and dreams of being champions or heading to M4 fade away.

The Phoenix rises

Yesterday proved that AURA Fire were still one of the strongest teams in MPL ID Season 10, even after some small mistakes cost them an upper bracket spot. The team showed some great skill against RRQ Hoshi, but eventually succumbed to the Kings of Kings. Today, they continued to prove their prowess, with a magnificent clean sweep over Bigetron Alpha.

This was one of the most hard-fought series from both sides for the first two games, with game two lasting over half an hour, as neither squad wanted to give up. While AURA did dominate game three, it was definitely after the wind had been removed from the BTR sails. With Lord steals by MAXXX to keep the Robots in the game at times, eventually the team were unable to fight anymore and would fall to a 0-3 loss. Unfortunately for The Robots, the loss would mean that their MPL ID Season 10 journey would come to an end, still unable to break into the podium again.

For AURA Fire, the clean sweep victory pushes them forward into the top three of the tournament, with a spot in the lower bracket final for the team now secured. The team will now look to their next challenge which comes on October 22nd, which will be a fight against either RRQ or ONIC Esports.
