The race to the Honor of Kings World Cup started with the Honor of Kings regional league kickoff.
Honor of Kings has announced the details of its regional Leagues, which kicked off today (11 April) for some regions and later on 17 or 18 April for others. An exception was made for the Wildcard Kings Series and Honor of Kings Brazil Championship, which will start on 16 May.
The leagues are Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL), Malaysia Honor of Kings League (MKL), Philippine Kings League (PKL), Wildcard Kings Series (WKS), Major East League (KME), Major West League (KMW), and Honor of Kings Brazil (CHOKBR). The best teams in each regional league will earn slots at the prestigious Honor of Kings World Cup (KWC), which will be hosted in July as part of the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Teams competing in the leagues include those who qualified via the Open Series Split 3, which saw over 150,000 players worldwide sign up, according to Tencent Games' press release. Details on Open Series Split 4 will be announced soon.

The KWC will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing together 18 teams worldwide to compete at the highest level. This year's KWC will represent a seminal milestone as the global teams will confront the champions of China's King Pro League (KPL) Spring Season for the first time.
