You can now get vented in first-person, yay!

Game developer Innersloth has unveiled Among Us 3D, bringing the 2D imagery of its hit social deduction game to new life. The game is essentially a refurbished version of Among Us VR, allowing everyone to play the game from a first-person perspective without the use of a VR headset.

Here’s a trailer:

Among Us 3D is coming to Steam

Have you ever wanted to, as developer Innersloth puts it in the above trailer, “Become the bean?” Enter Among Us 3D, a spin-off designed to immerse players in the backstabbing, paranoia-driven gameplay of Innersloth’s viral multiplayer game.

All of the game’s core gameplay elements, from completing tasks to calling out other players in Emergency Meetings, are retained in this version - only instead of a top-down perspective, players will now experience the game from a first-person perspective. That means first-person murder, just so you know.

4-10 players can play together in this fully 3D version of Among Us, which also features native proximity voice chat and cosmetic customisation. New and returning minigames are also available, now with first-person controls. Additionally, crossplay is enabled, but only with players of Among Us VR - not the original game.

Among Us 3D will be available to play as a demo during Steam Next Fest: February Edition, which runs from 24 February to 3 March, 2025. This demo won’t include all of the game’s features or game modes however, such as crossplay and additional cosmetics.

Among Us 3D will launch sometime in 2025. The game’s Steam page is now live. An Among Us TV series is also in the works.
