The popular 2023 Soulslike hit Lies of P is expanding its dark and twisted world with a brand-new DLC. Announced during Sony’s State of Play 2025 broadcast, the Lies of P: Overture DLC is set to launch in Summer 2025 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. This expansion delves ino the city of Krat before its collapse.
Named Lies of P: Overture, the DLC is a prequel bringing players “back to the beginning of the Puppet Frenzy," before the events of the main game. Lies of P: Overture transports players to Krat in its final days of opulence and decay. The DLC follows a Legendary Stalker, a mysterious figure who guides players through the untold stories and horrors of the city.
Players take on the role of Geppetto’s puppet once more, this time guided by the Legendary Stalker, who is named Lea. As the city teeters on the brink of disaster, new threats emerge, secrets unravel, and choices shape both the past and present.
Jiwon Choi, game director at Round8 Studio, shared that the team had always planned to explore more of Lies of P’s universe. “We knew that the end of Lies of P was just the beginning for what our team had in store for fans.” He explained that Overture presents the opportunity to “fully explore the past and present of our universe” and thanked the community for their patience as the team worked on telling the story they had envisioned from the start.

Exploring Krat’s unseen corners

Before Krat fell into chaos, it stood as a beacon of Belle Époque elegance. Still clinging to its grandeur, it is now on the edge of catastrophe. This means players can explore new locations, from extravagant mansions to eerie ruins. This will also include some fresh challenges and new lore elements to absorb and enjoy.
The Legendary Stalker
The Legendary Stalker, also known as Lea, plays a central role in the story, shedding light on past events and revealing untold connections between existing and new characters.
New combat options and bosses
New weapons, Legion Arms, and combat styles will also be introduced, which players can explore and use to create new combos and more varied combat styles. Players will also encounter new enemies and powerful bosses that will push them to their limits.
Publisher Neowiz has also previously confirmed a sequel in development. Lies of P is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC.
