Amazon Prime Video’s new anthology series features Dungeons & Dragons, Spelunky and more.
Amazon Prime Video has unveiled an all-new anthology series called Secret Level, which features animated episodes based on videogames like Sifu, God of War, Armored Core and Mega Man. The series hails from the creators of Netflix’s animated anthology Love, Death + Robots, and premieres on December 10.

Amazon’s new series Secret Level adapts Sifu, Dungeons & Dragons and more
Amazon Prime Video unveiled an all-new animated anthology series called Secret Level at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024, after the project was first reported to be in the works last week. Love, Death + Robots creator Tim Miller introduced the project on the event stage, confirming that he had been working on the series for three years with Blur Studio.
Blur Studio has provided CG animation work for movies like Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and cinematics for various videogames including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Valorant and Grand Theft Auto 3. The studio has plenty of experience working on games and their adaptations, so a series like this is right up their alley.
Secret Level will feature 15 CG-animated episodes telling new short stories set in the worlds of classic games and game franchises. Here’s a list of all the games you can expect to see depicted, according to a news release from Amazon:
- Armored Core
- Concord
- Crossfire
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Exodus
- Honor of Kings
- Mega Man
- New World: Aeternum
- PAC-MAN
- PlayStation (Highlighting various PlayStation Studios entities)
- Sifu
- Spelunky
- The Outer Worlds
- Unreal Tournament
- Warhammer 40,000
Secret Level will likely adapt a different game for each of its 15 episodes, judging by this lengthy list. Kratos from God of War can be seen in the series’ reveal trailer, but it appears that his episode will star a whole suite of PlayStation characters, as opposed to the Spartan antihero alone.
Secret Level will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on December 10, 2024.
