The Kingdom Hearts games are finally breaking Epic Games Store exclusivity to hit Steam on PC.Â
Square Enix is finally releasing the Kingdom Hearts game franchise on Steam, after three long years of Epic Games Store PC exclusivity. The franchise’s Dark Seeker Saga will hit Steam on June 13, consisting of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind. If you’re confused by these titles, you likely have a lot of catching up to do.Â
The publisher announced this news with a brand-new trailer. We’ve embedded it below, but it won’t go live for another six hours:Â

The Kingdom Hearts series arrives on Steam
The Kingdom Hearts series first launched on PC in 2021 as Epic Games Store-exclusive titles, but it looks like the timer on that particular contract has finally expired. On June 13, newcomers and veterans of the franchise alike will be able to play through the Dark Seeker saga on Steam, which consists of the following game collections:
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX
- Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
- Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories
- Kingdom Hearts II Final Fix
- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
- Kingdom Hearts Re:coded
- Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
- Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD
- Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover (movie)
- Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep - A fragmentary passage -
Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind
- Kingdom Hearts III
- Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC
The one title missing from this list is Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, a mildly canonical entry in the franchise that pulls inspiration from musical rhythm games. The rest are your standard Final Fantasy and Disney crossovers, culminating in Kingdom Hearts 3 and its DLC storyline. This release will also allow Steam Deck owners to take the franchise on the go, providing it gets verified for the platform.Â
The series launches on Steam on June 13. The question is: will you have enough time to catch up before Kingdom Hearts 4 and the movie adaptation arrive?
