DreamLeague Season 22: Group Stage 2 team and hero statistics

With Group Stage 2 for DreamLeague Season 22 complete, we take a look at the team and hero statistics for the final eight teams in the tournament.

About a week ago, when Group Stage 1 of DreamLeague Season 22 ended, we looked at the team and hero statistics for all 16 teams. The top eight teams (top four from each group) then played another all-play-all format, but with best-of-three series, to determine the four teams going to the playoffs. A total of 72 games were played over a week in Group Stage 2.

Team Falcons, BetBoom Team, Team Spirit and Xtreme Gaming made the top four. It seems like Western Europe’s stranglehold on tournaments is finally slipping. As the final four teams gear up to try and win DreamLeague Season 22, let’s take a look at team and hero statistics for the second group stage of the tournament.

2) Mirana (29 games, 17 wins, 58.62% win rate)

Most banned heroes:
1) Chen (banned in 71 games)
2) Timbersaw (banned in 59 games)
3) Dragon Knight (banned in 54 games)

Heroes with the highest win rate (20 games or more):
1) Lifestealer (16 picks, 81.25% win rate)
2) Tiny (17 picks, 70.59% win rate)
3) Shadow Demon (16 picks, 62.50% win rate)

Heroes with lowest win rate (15 games or more):
1) Centaur (25 picks, 36.36% win rate)
2) Hoodwink (22 picks, 37.50% win rate)
3) Elder Titan (24 picks, 40.00% win rate)

There are a few heroes that are definitely standing out. Chen, Dragon Knight, Mars, Mirana and Timbersaw are heroes that seem to be extremely popular. But it’s others like Lifestealer and Tiny that are racking up the win rate numbers. Lifestealer has 14 wins from 16 picks in Group Stage 2, which might be an indicator that we might see a bit more of him in the last two days of the tournament.

However, the question needs to be asked whether all these hero statistics will matter in a few days. There is a good chance that Dota 2 patch 7.36 will be released after DreamLeague Season 22 ends and Ringmaster will arrive with it!
