With over 300 players playing the qualification ladder, only 32 made the cut. FnaticMSI reports that several of the initial Top 32 failed to send in the required information, a set of backups were picked out from ranks 33-50.
Among the first batch of group stage players we find the best ranked foreigner on the iCCup ladder, Daniel "Shauni" Engvall. Placed in Group D along with team mate Oystein as well as the two Protoss players Jumper and PrO.
Other StarCraft celebrities include Payam "KaBaL" Toghyan which will lock horns with veteran Tomasz "Tarson" Boron.
Peruvian Terran Jiancarlo Joan "Fenix" Morayra Alejo is the brightest shining star in the group stage. Together with Praetor, KwarK and Gamezoone he fill up Group B.
Matches kick off on Saturday, March 6 at 19:00 CET.
The four handpicked players from Round of 8 will receive a contract from FnaticMSI, a Starcraft 2 beta key, an MSI wind notebook as well as hardware from Fnatic sponsors.
