Singapore has set its lineup of 17 players competing across nine esports games at the Olympic Esports Series 2023.
Singapore’s lineup for the first in-person Olympic Esports Series 2023 finals has officially been confirmed. The country will be represented by 17 players across nine ‘virtual sports’, with the finals set to take place at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Center from June 22 to 25, 2023. Three of these players were only recently confirmed: Woonie Chong (Baseball), Colin Ng (Sailing) and Andrew Arriola (Tennis).
The Olympic Esports Series finals is shaping up to be a big event, with more than 110 players from around the world competing in 10 sports for a shot to be crowned winners in their categories. Interestingly, the virtual sports contested during this tournament won’t include popular esports titles like DOTA 2 or Counter-Strike: GO. Instead, the games will be virtual recreations of sports that already see real-life competition like archery and baseball.
There are a few exceptions, however. Ubisoft’s Just Dance will be one of the virtual sports featured in the tournament, along with Fortnite - though the latter won’t feature its highly-popular battle royale mode. Here’s the full Olympic Esports Series 2023 schedule, from June 23 to June 25.

Colin Ng, who returns with multiple gold SEA Games medals under his belt to compete in Sailing, said about the tournament:
I’m very proud and excited to compete in the finals of the Olympic Esports Series 2023. Having represented Singapore at the Asian Games and the SEA Games, competing on home soil is always extra special. The Olympic Esports Week is a major sporting milestone for Singapore and it is a privilege to be a part of this. I’m looking forward to the challenge of competing in a different sailing format against the world’s best. It will definitely not be easy but I am up for the challenge. It will also be wonderful to be competing in front of a home crowd again – a feeling that never gets old and I hope my fellow Singaporeans will enjoy the competition and come support Team Singapore!
More popular multiplayer titles like Street Fighter 6, Rocket League and NBA2K will be featured in exhibition matches throughout the week of the tournament, as well as the venue’s Free-to-Play zone where everyone can join in on the competition. Tickets for the event start from $10 per day and can be purchased from Sistic Singapore.
