The MLBB Academy League Malaysia has returned with all-female and collegiate teams for Season 3.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Academy League (MAL) Malaysia has returned for Season 3. Organised by MOONTON Games and IO Esports, the developmental league for the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Malaysia will feature more diverse and exciting lineups for Season 3 with the introduction of Johor Angels and CG Esports. With a US$20,000 prize pool, the MAL Malaysia Season 3 will offer a more competitive stage for aspiring esports athletes to pursue careers in professional MLBB esports.
The new season will feature more representation with an all-female team in Johor Angels and a collegiate team in MSL x UITM, earning direct invitations to the competitive MAL MY arena. According to the press release presented by MOONTON Games, 15 female athletes will be represented this season, the highest number in the history of MLBB Esports in Malaysia.
This season also welcomed a new and exciting addition to the league, CG Esports. The team was formed by former MPL Malaysia superstar 
Muhammad Danial “CikuGais” Bin Mohamad Fuad with Muhammad Syafizan Najmi Bin “Garyy” Kamarulzaman and Zikry “Moon” Bin Shamsuddin. The three veterans will light up MAL Malaysia and the favourites to secure promotion to the MPL Malaysia.
Season 3's Regular Season will follow a format similar to Season 2's and occur across two stages. However, the Challenger Conference Playoffs format has been revamped in Season 3 to offer teams quicker promotion to MPL Malaysia Season 16.
The semifinals match between the final two Challenger Conference teams will see the winning team secure their spot in Season 16 of MPL Malaysia, while the losing team will face off against the 9th-placed team in MPL Malaysia Season 15 in the "Challenger vs Defender" match, with the winning team earning a slot in MPL Malaysia Season 16.
MLBB Academy League Malaysia Season 3 will start on 12 April 2025. It will be a gateway for non-MPL teams to participate in the pinnacle of MLBB esports in Malaysia.
