The reigning champions of North America's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene, BloodThirstyKings (BTK), once again dominated the region by winning the North America Challenger Tournament (NACT) Fall 2024 after they reverse swept Cloud9 in the grand finals, 4-3, on Monday (October 21).

With this victory, Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun and BloodThirstyKings claimed the grand prize of $10,825 as well as a spot in the upcoming M6 World Championship.

Before meeting each other in the grand finals, the Mobazane-led BTK had already lost twice to Cloud9. First, in the group stage, when Cloud9 defeated scored a 3-1 victory over BTK. The two met again in the upper bracket finals of the Playoffs, which resulted in another 3-1 victory for Cloud9 and gave them the first spot in the grand finals.

BTK regained some momentum by defeating Gosu Night Horde in a 3-0 sweep in the lower bracket finals, earning them another rematch with Cloud9 for a spot in M6.

As with their previous two encounters, Cloud9 looked incredibly confident and started the series strong. They won the first confrontation in sixteen minutes with an MVP performance by Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo. BTK put up a better fight in game two, but Cloud9 repelled their pressure and ended the game in 22 minutes.

The third game has almost the same rhythm as the previous one. However, one mistake from BTK was all Cloud9 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Whether overconfident or too relaxed, Cloud9 looked out of focus coming into game 4. BTK also noticed this, as they exploited mistake after mistake by their opponents. MobaZane rallied his teammates to take a 14-minute game four victory to hopefully spark a comeback. And come back they did.

Every mistake made by Cloud9 turned into another victory for BTK as they levelled the score to 3-3. In the end, Cloud9 looked nervous as they recklessly pounced on every opportunity they got. Ultimately, they blew their early lead and allowed BTK to, once again, sit on the throne by destroying Cloud9's base in game 7.

With the conclusion of NACT Fall 2024, BTK now look ahead to the M6 World Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 21 to December 15. There, they will join 23 of the best MLBB teams from all around the world in a battle for this year's MLBB world championship title.
