Day 1 of MSC 2024 concluded with a shocking draw in Group A and B as the favourites couldn’t secure a clean win.

Day 1 of MSC 2024 has already concluded. The groups' favourites must contend with a draw result in their game as they completed a 1-1 score against their opponent. 
Selangor Red Giants, after a lengthy technical issue, were only able to get a 1-1 result against 
See You Soon from Cambodia. Meanwhile, 
EVOS Glory shares a point with 
RRQ Akira in Group A.
Perhaps the most shocking result was how See You Soon got a game against the strongest team from Malaysia, Selangor Red Giants. Dubbed the tournament's dark horse, SRG must contend with a draw after a long technical issue plaguing the series. SYS took game one against SRG, while the Malaysian champion secured the other game after a hard-fought series topped by a maniac from Innocent.
Meanwhile, in Group A, an internationally flavoured Classic Derby ended in a 1-1 score between RRQ Akira and EVOS Glory. The runner-up of MPL Indonesia got a hard-fought win against Tekashi and his team in game 1. However, the MPL Brazil champion got their revenge with the best Terizla game in MSC 2024 from Tekashi.
In Group A also, 
NIP Flash got their 2-0 win against 
Fire Flux Esports from Turkiye. The Singapore champion outclassed their opponent in every way in their two games together. The first game made the point clear as NIP. Flash quickly finished the game, winning within 10 minutes of the game.
In another series, 
Fnatic ONIC demolished their opponents, the home team. 
Team Falcons, in a 2-0 dominating fashion. The champion of MPL Indonesia easily won both games against Falcon Esports. The MPL MENA Champion got a flicker of hope in the second game to foster a comeback. However, Fnatic ONIC quickly shut it down.
MSC 2024 continues its group stage until the 7th of July 2024, with two teams from each group proceeding to the playoff stage while the bottom two will get eliminated from the tournament.
