The Mobile Legends Continental Championships Season 5 will kick off this month, with a direct slot to the Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup up for grabs.
The Mobile Legends Continental Championships (MCC) Season 5 is set to kick off on Saturday (5 April) and will make use of Brave Draft, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang's (MLBB) take on the Global ban-pick system. Organized by MLBB developer MOONTON Games in partnership with FISSURE, this tournament will serve as a qualifier for the prestigious Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025 in the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 for Eastern Europe.

The Brave Draft features a different take than the usual Global Ban-Pick system. Every team will start out using the normal ban-pick for the first game of the series they're playing in. However, from the second game onwards, teams won't be able to pick heroes they already picked in previous games. However, teams are allowed to pick the heroes that the enemy picked if they haven't chosen them on the previous game.
In the seventh game of the series, should it go that far, all draft restrictions will then be lifted, allowing both sides to pick any non-banned hero.
MCC Season 5 format, prize pool, and participating teams

Like the usual MLBB regional leagues, MCC Season 5 will feature three stages: the Regular Season, the Play-ins, and the Playoffs. The Regular Season will run from 5 April to 11 May 2025. This phase will see teams competing in a best-pf-three format to secure their rankings. The Top 2 teams will secure their placement in the Playoffs while the other six teams will have to go through the Play-ins.
In the Play-ins, the third to eighth-placed teams in the Regular Season will fight in a King of the Hill-style competition, with the higher-ranked teams from the Regular Season having an advantage in the stage. The Play-ins will run from 17 to 18 May.
The season will culminate in the Playoffs, which will be held from 30 May to 1 June. A prize pool of US$40,000 will be available, with the champion receiving a direct slot to the MSC 2025 and the runner-up getting a Wildcard slot.
Eight teams will compete in MCC Season 5, with four receiving direct invitations and four qualifying through closed qualifiers. The confirmed teams are:
- Team Spirit
- Insilio
- FORZE Esports
- Verso Time
- Virtus.pro
- OMBRA Esports
- CyberHero
- Sibe Team
The Mobile Legends Continental Championships Season 5 will start on 5 April and run all the way until 1 June.
