Three days of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang action from the Mid Season Cup Wildcard Tournament has now come to an end, with the eight initial teams whittled down to one. After Entity7 surprised everyone by sweeping through Group A, HomeBois followed suit with the same treatment of Group B, as the two teams set themselves up for glory in the grand finals. Today we saw their last battle against one another, as one team claimed their spot at the MSC 2024 Group Stage.

HomeBois march on to the main event

A lot has changed when it comes to drafts in the grand final of the MSC 2024 Wildcard Tournament, with a new patch gracing the event earlier in the day. While the new hero, Zhuxin, would not be available to teams, a new item was thrown into the mix – as well as some big changes to other items and more importantly, Lord. With that, we began to see teams favouring the likes of Ruby and Edith, while Fredrinn finally saw his time in the limelight come to an end. HB seemed to take full advantage of this, as they managed to claim a solid first-game win.

However, E7 was ready to make a stand, as they turned the tables and gave HB their first loss of the Wildcard, tying the series at 1-1 and making the decider series far more interesting. Unfortunately for the South Americans, that would be all they had in their reserves, as the tenacity and experience of HB shone through over the next two games as they tore through their opponents to claim the victory.

At the end of the day, even after a fantastic showing, Entity7 would be eliminated from the MSC 2024 Wildcard Tournament after a 1-3 loss – and HomeBois would march forward to glory. The Malaysians would claim all the spoils, moving on into the Group Stage of the main event where they join their regional brethren, Red Giants Esports and look to take Malaysia to the top. The MSC 2024 Group Stage kicks off in only three days, and the 16 teams are now all set to play for their share of the huge $3,000,000 prize pool.
