Electronic Arts’ fantasy-RPG is already coming to PlayStation Plus.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be one of PlayStation Plus’ free monthly games for March 2025, and mere months after its launch, no less. Electronic Arts’ fantasy RPG, which began its troubled development all the way back in 2015, will now be available for all PlayStation Plus subscribers to redeem for no additional charge.

Along with The Veilguard, players will also get access to Sonic Colors: Ultimate and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection in March.

PlayStation Plus free monthly games for March 2025 revealed

In a shocking turn of events, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has been announced as one of PlayStation Plus’ free monthly games for March 2025, just four months after its original launch. The game will be available to subscribers of the Essential tier of PlayStation Plus, which includes access to online multiplayer and a selection of free games every month.

Rarely has a game arrived on PlayStation Plus’ monthly games collection this soon after launch, especially one as big as The Veilguard. Electronic Arts’ fantasy RPG finally launched last year after close to a decade of troubled development. Unfortunately, the game reportedly underperformed by EA’s margins, leading to a series of layoffs at iconic RPG maker BioWare.

This month’s collection of PlayStation Plus Essential games also includes Sonic Colors: Ultimate and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection. In Sonic Colors: Ultimate, players will take on Sonic’s superspeed to free an alien race called Wisps from the scheming Dr. Eggman, who plans to use them to power an amusement park in space.

The Cowabunga Collection collects 13 classic Konami-published Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games in one title, inclusive of multiplayer and various quality of life additions. Dragon Age: The Veilguard has the player control Rook, the leader of a group fighting the world from a fantastical threat.

These games will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers to redeem from 4 to 31 March, 2025.
