HoYoverse has shown off all-new characters coming to Zenless Zone Zero 2.0.
HoYoverse has released the Zenless Zone Zero Season 2 Preview PV, showing off the many Agents players can expect to pull for in 2025 and beyond. This June, the action-RPG gacha game will release an all-new region called the Waifei Peninsula, which serves as the stage for its next major story arc.
The trailer shows off a previously-revealed upcoming Agent named Yi Xuan, along with a whole bunch of new Agents we don’t have names for yet. Watch it below:
Zenless Zone Zero Season 2 trailer shows off Waifei Peninsula and new characters
HoYoverse is rolling out marketing for Zenless Zone Zero’s big Version 2.0 update, which arrives this June with the game’s official Xbox Series X|S release. It’s been a big week for Zenless Zone Zero, too. Within the span of seven days, HoYo has released livestreamed presentations diving into the game’s next major update and its Xbox launch, and now, its Version 2.0 content has been teased with a new trailer.
Here’s how HoYo teased Version 2.0 via a caption accompanying the trailer:
“Locked behind reflections of the past, truth glows under sunken ink. That secret… May very well be the origin of calamity. Phaethon. This time, it’s “you” who will shatter evil.”
The trailer kicks off with Belle and Wise, who are sporting new attire themed after their new destination: the Waifei Peninsula. This location serves as the setting for the game’s second season of story content, headlined by a new Void Hunter character named Yi Xuan. Yi Xuan seems to be serving as Belle and Wise’s mentor in this new region, but there are plenty of new faces left for them to meet.
The trailer then runs through a few of these new characters, much like Zenless Zone Zero’s original release teaser. We see plenty of thirens (human-animal hybrids), a panda, a mech, and an ominous-looking cult figurehead. In addition to these characters, we also know that a new idol faction will be introduced at some point in Season 2, despite not being seen in this trailer.
Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.7 update will launch on 23 April, 2025, adding new playable Agents Vivian and Hugo to the game. The big Version 2.0 update arrives later this year, with an Xbox release.
