Esports giant OG have revealed their Honor of Kings roster comprised of former Team Vitality players.
OG have announced their Honor of Kings roster for the upcoming Kings Major West 2025 Spring. The esports giant has acquired the entirety of Team Vitality's main roster consisting of Daniele “Keke” Ke, Qian “DaoDao” Jiale, Guan Ren “Wen” Hao, Lin “an” Junan, and Angelo “muchen” Zheng.
The roster announcement was made on OG's official social media account over a month after the organisation announced its entry into the Honor of Kings esports scene. OG are one of Honor of Kings' partnered teams in the Kings Major West, joining Next Rüya, 9z Team, and Virtus.pro.
All five of OG's players were the same ones that shocked the world with a 3rd-4th place finish in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 under Team Vitality. In the tournament, they made a statement by topping the Group Stage with a perfect 6-0 score, topping even eventual champions Nova Esports.
While their journey in the Group Stage was smooth sailing, in the end, they had to settle for a 3rd-4th place finish after a back-and-forth duel with Malaysia's Nova Esports. They pushed the eventual champion to the limit, forcing an ultimate battle that lasted for 12 minutes.
The Kings Major West Spring 2025 will start with a two-phase Group Stage. Unlike the other leagues, the Kings Major's Group Stage will be divided into Ranking Week and Survival Week. All of the teams will compete in Ranking Week to determine their position in Survival Week.
The Top 3 teams will proceed to Group S of Survival Week, while the rest will go to Group A of Survival Week. All members of Group S will be qualified for the Playoffs. However, the bottom team will go to the Lower Bracket Semis, while the rest will go to the Upper Bracket Final. Meanwhile, only the top of Group A will advance to the Lower Bracket Semis, while the rest will be eliminated.
OG's new roster will compete in the Kings Major West Spring 2025, which starts on 17 April 2025.
