With Natlan right around the corner, Genshin Impact has revealed the first 3 playable characters of the region.
Mualani, Kachina, and Kinich also featured heavily in the first teaser trailer for Natlan. Here’s what we know about them so far!
Mualani
Mualani will be a Hydro character, her weapon of choice and rarity is yet to be revealed. However, in the trailer she can be seen surfing through water with what seems like a shark familiar.
Mualani is part of the “People of the Spings”, and works as one of its new generation of young guides. She’s established in her work, celebrated for her meticulousness and quick thinking. With what we know so far about Natlan, it’s safe to say that she’s part of the Metzli tribe.
Considering her title as a guide, we’re sure she’ll be one of the first people we’ll befriend upon stepping foot in Natlan!
Kinich
Kinich will be a Dendro character wielding a Claymore, although his rarity is yet to be known. He is accompanied by a pixelated familiar called K’uhul Ajaw, who is a self-proclaimed dragonlord.
Kinich is a Saurian Hunter, and his reputation as cold-blooded and ruthless precedes him. But to those who get to know him, he is just a quiet, practical guy who wants to get the job done without a hitch, and with a great propensity to survival.
Kinich is part of the Huitztlan tribe.
Kachina
Kachina will be a Geo character, however her rarity and weapon type has not yet been revealed.
Kachina is a young yet precocious girl who knows the stories of heroes and the mountain paths like she knows the back of her hand. As part of the “Children of the Echoes”, Kachina was given the name “Uthabiti”, a symbol of great strength and ferocity.
Kachina is part of the Nanatzcaya tribe, a tribe known to mine the earth between Natlan and Sumeru for precious jewels and ore.
Genshin Impact will enter its final version 4 update, 4.8, on 17 July. 4.8 will feature the reruns of Navia and Nilou, as well as the debut of the new 5-star Emilie. Players can expect Natlan and version 5.0 in early September.
