After a tumultuous 2025 season so far, OG continues to experiment with its roster by signing two new trial players.
Iconic Dota 2 organisation OG continues to experiment with its roster after a tumultuous start to the 2025 season, this time by fielding two new trial members in carry player
Altanginj “423” Bilguun and mid laner
Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau. The trial lineup will compete in FISSURE Special and CCT Series 8.
The roster adjustment sees 423 replace the former trial carry player Stefan “Ulnit” Gavrila. Meanwhile, Stormstormer fills in the former position held by
Leon “Nine” Kirilin, who departed the active roster on Thursday (3 April).
OG’s current Dota 2 roster is as follows:
Altanginj “423” Bilguun (trial)
Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau (trial)
Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn (trial)
Tamir “daze” Tokpanov
Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev (trial)
Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann (coach)
OG continues shuffling their cards
OG is now undergoing a heavily experimental phase, with a majority of its lineup trialing for the active roster. The two-time The International-winning organisation last fielded a lineup of renowned players, including Sébastien “Ceb” Debs, who had been on and off the active roster for the past few years.
However, lackluster results led to near full disbandment. The team first released three players – with Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and
Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap leaving while Ceb returned to the inactive roster – then introduced three trial members in Ulnit,
Cedric “Davai Lama” Deckmyn, and
Ivan “Kidaro” Bondarev. Despite the roster shuffle, OG proceeded to face a demoralising defeat in the DreamLeague Season 26 qualifiers, failing to even make it to the Closed Qualifier. And so, the team were prompted to impose more changes.
Nine departed the lineup, and Ulnit is no longer trialing for the team, at least not in the next two tournaments. On 4 April, OG announced a new trialing roster with the additions of 423 and Stormstormer.
423 and Stormstormer to trial for OG’s next events
OG introduced a Mongolian carry player, 423, who started out in the Tier 2 scene of Southeast Asia, and recently shifted to play in Europe, joining notable organisations and stacks, including Team Secret and
Jigglin.
Alongside well-known players like Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov and
Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos in Jigglin, 423 was briefly acquired by Into The Breach. But the team ceased operations shortly after when the organisation's CEO was caught embezzling funds.
Afterward, 423 continued to switch teams, even returning to play in Southeast Asian qualifiers for a few months. His trial with OG marks his second attempt at competing in Western Europe.
Next, Stormstormer will fill the mid lane position left vacant by Nine. The German player is known for his breakthrough performance with Entity, achieving Top 6 finishes in two Majors, namely the PGL Arlington Major in 2022 and the Lima Major in 2023. Stormstormer’s previous stint with
AVULUS also showed promise, but their performance declined as the season progressed and he parted ways with the team in late March.
423 and Stormstormer now join the two remaining trial members, Davai Lama and Kidaro, as well as daze, the only active roster member, for OG’s upcoming tournaments: FISSURE Special and CCT Series 8. FISSURE Universe begins today (5 April) while the CCT Series 8 will start featuring OG in its Playoffs round, set to kick off on 7 April. Expect further roster changes as OG continues its rebuilding process.
