After two back to back failed attempts in regional qualifiers this month, Nigma Galaxy replaced two players in their seemingly never ending process of finding the winning formula.
It has been only two weeks since Nigma Galaxy were proudly announcing Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi and Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan returning to active play under their banner. The two veterans joined Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi in another attempt to bring Nigma back on track and it seems like the trio is committed to go through thick and thin once more. The three of them will continue together and will try to power through ESL One Birmingham qualifiers, but with two new players joining them.
Daniel "Ghost" Chan and Roman "rmN-" Paley have been replaced by Farith "Matthew" Puente and Saieful "Fbz" Ilham, who are joining Nigma Galaxy for the first time and have already arrived at the team house to get ready for the qualifier test.
For Matthew, former Evil Geniuses support, this marks the first time when he ventures outside of his region, while the Indonesian offlaner, fbz is joining Nigma after a brief stint in Europe with Team Secret. Following his departure from Secret, in October last year, fbz returned to Southeast Asia. At the beginning of this month he was on the Among Us stack and tried to clinch a spot at Betboom Dacha Dubai 2024 and DreamLeague Season 22, but has also failed in both regional qualifiers.
ESL One Birmingham open qualifiers began today, January 22, 2024, in all seven regions and Nigma are through to closed qualifiers already.
