The Final Tribe have finally filled their open spot with the Swedish player Rasmus "Chessie" Blomdin.
In July, The Final Tribe had announced they were parting ways with Axel "Pablo" Källman. Since then the Swedish team had not made any reports on who would be filling his spot or what their plans were for almost two months. Now, with the DPC 2018-2019 season close at hand, TFT have recruited veteran player Rasmus "Chessie" Blomdin to fill the mid role, moving Era to position 5 support position and captain role as well.
The team secured their first notable achievement in mid-February when they qualified for GESC: Indonesia Minor. Although they ultimately took 5-8th at the LAN event, it was a DPC LAN appearance none-the-less and a stepping stone towards hoping for brighter future.
The team then went on to claim the JoinDota League championship title. Two weeks later, they managed to qualify for both GESC: Thailand Minor and the China Super Major within two days of each other. However, both events ended with equally disappointing results.
TFT went into the TI8 qualifiers with high hopes but suffered a dismal run, finishing with a 1:5 record in second-to-last place of the group stage. The season had ended on a low note.
Meanwhile, compLexity Gaming had parted ways with Kyle 'Kyle/swindlemelonzz' Freedman in March after internal troubles and struggles reaching achievements. The NA team were uanble to clinch any more spots in the DPC events and took a dismal 9-10th place at EPICENTER XL after failing to make it past the group stage and made more changes in the lineup at the expense of Chessie. In May, the Swedish player had been out of the competitive scene, keeping his door open for another opportunity.
Adding Chessie to the lineup keeps The Final Tribe a full Swedish roster and the team is looking forward to competing with better results this season.
