The ESL One Birmingham lineup is starting to take shape as ViCi Gaming has been granted direct access to the event with an invitation to the first Dota 2 Major held in the UK.
ViCi Gaming has received the fifth invite to join Evil Geniuses, Virtus.pro, Newbee and Team Liquid at ESL One Birmingham as one of six teams directly invited to compete at the event.
The rising Chinese team took 5-6th at ESL One Genting in January and then an impressive second place at ESL One Katowice in February. They will no doubt be aiming to improve their results once again and claim the trophy and title this time around.
Only 60 points to be exact, separates Newbee and ViCi Gaming at the moment. During the last week, ViCi Gaming ended in 5-6th place, coming up just short of gaining more points at DAC 2018. VG is sitting in the sixth place slot of the DPC and will next appear at MDL Changsha Major next month before heading out to the United Kingdom.
The 12 team tournament has a prize pool of 1$ Million and 1500 Pro Circuit points and is scheduled to begin on the 23rd of May.
