VGJ.Storm have decided to dissolve their entire roster following a subpar foray into the North American scene and failure to obtain any signifant achievements.
After a rather disappointing year for both of the Vici Gaming rosters, the Chinese organization made the decision to expand outside its borders after TI7 with the signing of isGG - an up and coming North American team at that time. The team featured a mix of known names in the North American scene and being managed by beloved analyst and Chinese scene guru Jack "KBBQ" Chen. The team struggled to find their footing in a region that ended up becoming very competitive and stacked. With a rocky and disappointing end to 2017 with a few roster changes, the organization rang in the new year with a new roster and hopes for a better season.
At the start of January, teammates from Team Leviathan Brian ‘BSJ’ Canavan and Jaron ‘monkeys-forever’ Clinton were recruited to fill the positions of JingJun ‘_Sneyking’ Wu and Ravindu 'Ritsu' Kodippili. Still no immediate results, the team was rocked by another change in roster only weeks later as Eric '747' Dong then departed for a place in Immortals.
I'd also like to thank Brian and Jaron. They immediately improved our team's energy and communication, fitting in from day one, and are a huge reason why we went into early January qualifiers in great form. Though I found Jaron's dietary restrictions even less palatable than BSJ's stream tilts, I'll miss them both as well.
What myself and VGJ don't intend to miss for long is competing in professional Dota. It won't be long before we find people who share our commitment and values, and go to war again.”
The news of the decision comes just two days before the roster lock closes and in the middle of several NA qualifiers for upcoming Pro Circuit events. The team is expected to play together for the upcoming DAC qualifiers under the tag "ItsGG".
