The groupstage is almost over and three teams are still fighting over the last slot in the top 12. Who will advance to the main stage to compete at the Shanghai Grand Stage?
The first round of tiebreakers proved unsuccessful as all three teams secured wins to set up a second round on February 3rd. Both Rave and CDEC Gaming had a chance to claim the last place in the playoff stage, but both teams failed to win their second game with a notably dramatic 66 minute match-up between Tongfu and CDEC Gaming.

Round 1
Rave vs. TongFu 1-0
Beginning with an amazing start, Tongfu managed to win two out of the three lanes. At mid, Shadow fiend was nearly solo killed by Sniper thrice; only to be saved by Cast’s clutch Abaddon’s plays. After that, TongFu managed to take the first Rosh and attempt high ground but fails. Rave farms back the deficit slowly. The cycle continues as next Rave gets the Rosh and fails high ground attempt, and TongFu tries but fails. In the end, after a string of strong fights, Rave managed to break high ground and after that, the Shadow Fiend and Troll farmed up managing to take Sniper out constantly. In the end, at around the 55 min mark, TongFu lost raxes and tapped out.
CDEC vs. Rave 1-0
After forming an aggressive tri-lane with Mirana, Visage and Vengeful, CDEC were able to claim first blood over Rave and began to secure easy kills against Rave's Bristleback and Io and remained a ganking force through the early game. Combined with the farming success from Maybe's Drow Ranger and Aggressif's Batrider, things got worse for Rave when CDEC's Visage was able to kill their Bristleback in a 1v1 encounter on the top lane. Rave just couldn't handle the physical power of the CDEC's lineup, and while Rave attempted to prolong the game as much as possible they were forced to call 'GG' before 30 minutes as CDEC forced their way into their base.
CDEC vs. TongFu 0-1
This was always going to be a marathon game after only five kills were secured in the opening 15 minutes. Tongfu secured a growing advantage over CDEC, taking towers, picking off kills and Ipc's Io surviving a two man gank in the top lane. Tongfu's growing dominance was proving too much for CDEC, with an Ethereal Blade and Eye of Skadi on the Morphling but both teams played passively as their match pushed deeper into the night. An unlikely team wipe by CDEC managed to give them more time, but a second impressive team fight saw Tongfu's advantage obliterated. Almost reaching an hour in length an aegis for Tongfu saw the game grow more passive. Medusa and Morphling began several head to head confrontations as the game reached its ridiculous climax as the sheer power of Morphling proved too much as an endless team fight came to an end with a 66 minute 'GG' call and ensure the tiebreakers continue into a second day.
