Vici Gaming and For.Love have lost their guaranteed spot for the second season of Dota 2 Super League after losing their rights to participate in the relegation playoffs. A qualifier will be held to fill the void.
Vici Gaming and For.Love have lost their guaranteed spots for the second season of Dota 2 Super League after falling short in the relegation playoffs earlier today. While Vici did play their hearts out to secure the spot, For.Love did not compete for their spot with the team undergoing some heavy roster changes since the departure of Han Ci 'Hanci' Huang.
Rattlesnake is the big winner today, qualifying for the next season with straight wins over Vici Gaming, in the first round, and RisingStars, in the second. Rising Stars on the other hand, had a free pass in the first round (was suppose to play For.Love) but have to qualify from the loser bracket after dropping their game against Rattlesnake. Regardless, RisingStars put on a spectacular performance, tripling Vici Gaming's kill score to secure the final spot.
We were informed that a qualifier will be held next season to pick the best teams to compete in the prestigious tournament.
Dota 2 Super League season two is expected to be hosted later this year, most probably after the upcoming ACE League in September.
