FromSoftware is making a multiplayer Elden Ring game.
To the surprise and delight of Elden Ring fans everywhere, a new entry in this now-franchise has been announced. Elden Ring: Nightreign is a standalone PvE multiplayer game that lets players team up with one another to take on monsters, bosses and more in the Lands Between.

Elden Ring is officially a franchise. Game developer FromSoftware has announced a standalone spin-off of Elden Ring, placing a co-op focus on the game’s blend of open-world and RPG gameplay. Players will be able to team up with one another to travel the Lands Between and presumably complete a brand-new campaign.
Interestingly, this trailer seems to contain a glimpse of the Nameless King from the Dark Souls games, who obviously doesn’t belong in this world. Either FromSoftware is playing it fast and loose with Elden Ring canon, or this spin-off is incorporating elements from other games in its library for a currently unrevealed reason.
Little is known about Elden Ring: Nightreign, besides the fact that it’s launching in 2025 as a standalone game. Bandai Namco Entertainment is publishing the game, while FromSoftware retains development duties.
