MAD Lions are back in VALORANT.
After a stuttering start last season, MAD Lions are back for the 2023 season by picking up Dark Ratio, an orgless team that qualified for the North American Challengers Split 1. This comes after the original MAD squad failed to secure a spot in the franchised league. MAD would soon drop its EU squad less than six months after picking it up.
However, it's looking to make a comeback into the VALORANT scene, this time in North America. Dark Ratio managed to edge past the open qualifier bracket, securing themselves a top-four finish as well as a spot in the NA VALORANT Challengers League. This also includes some of the game's top teams like FaZe Clan, TSM, and G2 Esports.
The team will consist of Adam “Ange” Milian, Justin “Trick” Sears, Taylor “drone” Johnson, Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro, William “Will” Cheng, and the head coach Jornen “MoonChopper” Nishiyama. They will be in Group B for the Challengers League alongside the likes of TSM and The Guard to name a few.
The VALORANT NA Challengers League is set to take place from February 1 to March 17. For MAD's opening match in the league, they will go up against TSM.
