Another season of BWCL aproaching

Season 27 of the BroodWar Clan League is starting this upcoming Sunday. Twelve teams will fight for the top placements and it looks like the first round will be very exciiting.

Last season half of the teams were German, but this time we have a little more well known teams in the first division again. Most of you have already seen [LighT], aFz), ZZZ, DiE-, w4sp and SkyRiders, and you must have ignoring the scene not to recognise Excello, CDS, DkH and MgZ. The new kid on the block is Fruchtswerge, though, another German team who has got a lot to prove with these opponents in their division.

The first week we will hopefully get to see some interesting matches, as the top two teams from last season, xLo and DkH faces each other in the first round. Also the Czechs in CDS will take on MicroGamerZ so it is basicly the top teams from last season going at it right away. Dwarf takes on DiE, ZZZ faces the SkyRiders and aFz plays versus [LighT].

The map package was also given some updates, with Monty Hall, Iron Curtain, Nemesis, Blitz X, Python, Vampire, Loki II and Longinus as the new ones. This means only Neo Forte, Peaks of Baekdu and Tau Cross was kept from last season. First round's maps are Longinus for 1on1 and Gaia for 2on2.
