World Cyber Games presents the disciples for the upcoming 2011 event. Surprisingly, we see World of WarCraft enter the "Olympic spirited" tournament.
As reported earlier, StarCraft: Brood War will for the first time be excluded from the World Cyber Games. But Blizzard fans can rejoice, as both StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty and WarCraft 3: The Frozen Throne made the cut.
We also see World of WarCraft: for the first time in WCG history. Add to that, last year's promotional League of Legends competition will make the grand stage as an official game.
The press release also further strengthen the rumours of a grand final in Busan, South Korea.
- ''This year WCG selected world's most popular titles across every genre in -competitive gaming today. WCG values gamer feedback and we have determined that the announced titles are among the most popular and challenging titles available today,'' said Sean Lee, Senior Manager of Publisher Relations, World Cyber Games, Inc. ''We are excited to unveil the official game titles for the 2011 Grand Final and we look forward to another exciting year of competition to crown the best players in the world in Korea.''
