Mobile Legends shoutcaster, host, and analyst Wolf revealed he still hasn't received his payment for his work in MSC 2024 and Games of the Future 2024.
Caisam Yvez Nopueto, better known as the caster-turned-coach “Wolf” in the world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has revealed that he still hasn't received payment for his work at the Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 and Games of the Future 2024.
Wolf revealed his situation in a post on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account, where he also wrote that late payments weren't anything new to him and was part of why I decided to pause from shoutcasting.
Besides Wolf, another caster also spoke up about the situation. Filipino caster Joseph Charles "Naisou" Rezabekalso expressed concern about his late payment from both events. However, both Wolf and Naisou further clarified that MLBB developer MOONTON Games wasn't responsible for this late payment as they weren't obligated to pay the talent as a different company handled it.
As mentioned, Wolf and Naisou both worked in Games of The Future 2024 and MSC 2024. Wolf was the desk analyst for MSC 2024, which was held as part of the Esports World Cup 2024, and the English shoutcaster at the Games of the Future 2024, while Naisou was an English commentator for both events.
Wolf is currently the TNC head coach for the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Phillippines Season 14. He was also the host of the 8G Podcast, where he interviewed a lot of Mobile Legends personalities regarding the scene and recent issues. Naisou, on the other hand, is currently one of MPL Phillippines Season 14 English casters.
MSC 2024 was a special occasion and different from the other iterations as it was part of the Esports World Cup 2024. To further differentiate it, MSC 2024 was the first time teams worldwide could participate in the tournament as it changed its name from MLBB Southeast Asia Cup to Mid Season Cup. Malaysia's Selangor Red Giants was the winner of the tournament.
Games of The Future 2024 was an event from Phygital, Mobile Legends was one of the esports titles that were played in the event.
GosuGamers has already reached MOONTON representatives regarding the situation.
