Here's a guide to mastering Mobile Legends' revamped Kimmy.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) recently revamped one of their oldest-designed hero, Kimmy, as a way to reinsert her into the meta. The Marksman-Mage hybrid has been given a whole new arsenal, making her more lethal in team fights.
Kimmy was born into a traditional military family in the Moniyan Empire. She was raised in a military family and received military education since she was a kid. However, she was not restrained by the tradition, as she is more obsessed with technology and inventions. Kimmy joined the Imperial Expeditionary Army to prove to her father that her inventions would make him proud of her.
Here’s a breakdown of Kimmy's revamped skills, her best equipment and arcana, and tips on how to play her effectively as a marksman.
Skills breakdown
Passive: Aerial Dominance
Kimmy can move and aim in different directions when using her Spray Gun, but cannot lock on to a specific enemy. Kimmy's Spray Gun attack deals (+22% Total Physical Attack) (+27% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage. Hitting enemy heroes restores Starlium. At max Starlium, Kimmy's Basic Attacks are enhanced to deal (+27% Total Physical Attack) (+32% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and pierce through targets.
Kimmy doesn't stop moving while shooting and no longer benefits from Attack Speed Bonus. Every 1% Attack Speed she gains is converted to one Magic Power.
Kimmy's Basic Attacks only deal 60% damage to Turrets.
Skill 1: Anti-Grav Thruster
Kimmy uses her jetpack to take flight, passing through terrain and gaining Movement Speed boost. During the flight, she fires Chemical Bolts at nearby enemies, dealing 20 to 45 (+25% Total Physical Attack) (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and slowing them by 50% for 0.5 seconds.
Kimmy doesn't consume Starlium during flight..
Skill 2: Starlium Beam
Kimmy fires a Starlium Beam in the target direction, dealing 300 to 600 (+50% Total Physical Attack) (+60% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage and immobilising enemies in its path.
Gain 20 to 40 Starlium for each enemy hero hit.
Ultimate: Traction Pulse
Kimmy charges and fires a Traction Pulse in a target direction. Upon hitting an enemy or reaching its max range, the Traction Pulse explodes, deals 200 to 400 (+60% Total Physical Attack) (+72% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to nearby enemies, and creates a force field that slows down enemies within by 75%.
After a short delay, the field contracts, pulling all enemies to its centre and dealing 20% to 40% of their current HP as Magic Damage. Gain 40 Starlium for each enemy hero hit.
Kalea's best emblems and talents
This build uses the Assassin Emblem for Kalea alongside Agility, Weapon Master, and Weakness Finder. This combination makes her very potent in kiting enemies and further improves her equipment power. The Assassin emblem gives Kimmy a boost in Adaptive Penetration, so she didn't need to rely on penetration items early on.

1. Arcane Boots
- +40 Movement Speed
- +10 Magic Penetration
Arcane Boots is Kimmy's go-to movement equipment piece. It boosts her Movement Speed and Magic Penetration slightly. The boots enables Kimmy to dish out her Magic Damage better with the penetration and overall increase her lethality early on.
2. Feather of Heaven
- +55 Magic Power
- +20% Attack Speed
- +10% Lifesteal
- +5% Cooldown Reduction
- Unique Passive–Affliction: Each Basic Attack deals extra 50 (+30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage.
- Unique Passive–Impulse: Basic Attacks grant 6% extra Attack Speed for three seconds, capped at five stacks
Feather of Heaven benefits Kimmy significantly due to her reliance on basic attack. The extra Attack Speed provided by this equipment will be transformed into extra Magic Power for her. Furthermore, her basic attack will be deadlier due to the bonus Magic Damage from Affliction.
3. Concentrated Energy
- +70 Magic Power
- +400 HP
- Unique Attribute: +20% Hybrid Lifesteal
- Unique Passive–Recharge: Increases Magic Power by five after dealing Magic Damage (this effect stacks up to six times and can only gain one stack every 0.4 seconds). When reaching full stacks, increases Magic Damage by 12% for five seconds
Concentrated Energy is the item of choice for heroes like Kimmy who can deal constant Magic Damage, like Kimmy. It will boost her damage over time, and at maximum stacks, will increase her Magic Damage significantly. It's a must-have for Kimmy.
4. Blood Wings
- +90 Magic Power
- Unique Passive–Guard: Gains 800 (+100% Magic Power) Shield that will regenerate 20 seconds after being damaged. The Shield also grants 30 Movement Speed while it lasts and 150 Movement Speed for one second after it breaks
Blood Wings is one of Kimmy's defensive items. It provided a strong shield and movement speed for Kimmy. Blood Wings makes it easier for her to evade a gank attempt with the burst of movement speed provided. It also provides her with a nice amount of Magic Power.
5. Holy Crystal
- +185 Magic Power
- Unique Passive - Mystery: Gains 21%-35% extra Magic Power (scales with level)
Holy Crystal is the ultimate Magic Power item in the game. It increases Kimmy's Magic Power by a ridiculous amount, making her more deadly in the late game. Holy Crystal shouldn't be built too early, as it only provides raw Magic Power and no other effects.
6. Divine Glaive
- +65 Magic Power
- Unique Attribute: +40% Magic Penetration
- Unique Passive–Spellbreaker: When attacking an enemy, gains 0.1% extra Magic Penetration for each point of the enemy's Magic Defense, capped at 20%
Divine Glaive is the go-to item for Magic Penetration. With this item, every Magic Damage Kimmy dish out will bypass 40% of the enemy's Magic Defense. You can switch the order of Holy Crystal and Divine Glaive if more Magic Penetration is needed.
Spare Equipment: Winter Crown, Immortality
Winter Crown can save Kimmy from a burst assassin gank, while Immortality gives Kimmy a second life if she gets taken down.
How to play Revamped Kimmy
Early on, Kimmy's damage wasn't as reliable as she focuses a lot on Basic Attack. Focus on farming and make sure to evade enemy ganks by using her Anti-Grav Thruster. Help with your Jungler's gank using Kimmy's second skill to set them up for a kill. Focus on building your first core item before joining team fights.
In the mid-game, Kimmy can shine with her sudden increase in Basic Attack damage after getting Feather of Heaven. Continue building her equipment and help set up kills with her second skill. Don't be shy about opening a fight using her ultimate, as it can significantly damage Tanks due to its current health percentage-based damage.
In a team fight, Kimmy's role can be varied from being the initiator to follow-up, providing that her team already has a great initiator. Try to position her behind the Tank. Don't be afraid to target the enemy Tank first as a source of Starlium to dish out even more damage to the main damage-dealer. Kimmy is powerful in team fights, but also fragile and susceptible to Assassin ganks. Positioning will be key in playing her safely.
