RRQ Hoshi suffered their first defeat of the season against Bigetron Esports in Week 4 of MPL Indonesia Season 15.
Indonesian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) powerhouse RRQ Hoshi tasted their first defeat in MLBB Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 15 in Week 4 at the hands of
Bigetron Esports, who felled the King of Kings 2-1 in the second match of the third day. This loss meant no team would achieve an undefeated run in the Regular Season of MPL ID Season 15.
RRQ Hoshi started the week strong with their 2-1 win over fierce rivals EVOS in The Classic Derby. While they would still get the win, their untouchable aura has been diminished since losing a game against
Alter Ego Esports and getting routed by
ONIC Philippines in the grand finals of of the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025. With no more undefeated feats to defend, RRQ Hoshi might have a weight lifted from their shoulders for the rest of the Regular Season. Whether or not they will come back stronger remains to be seen.
Here are the MPL Indonesia Season 15 Regular Season standings at the end of Week 4:
RRQ Hoshi (6-1) +7 Game difference (GF)
Bigetron Esports (5-3) +4 GF
EVOS (4-3) +2 GF
Alter Ego Esports (4-2) +1 GF
Geek Fam ID (4-3) -1 GF
Team Liquid ID (3-4) -1 GF
ONIC (3-4) -1 GF
Dewa United Esports (3-4) -1 GF
Natus Vincere (0-7) -10 GF
Team Liquid ID and ONIC still stranded on the bottom half of the table
Team Liquid ID and
ONIC remained stranded in the bottom half of the leaderboard despite previously being hailed as strong contenders to win the entire league. Both teams continued to underperform as they each only managed a 1-1 result in the week, with both showing lacklustre performances.
ONIC started the week with a win against bottom dwellers Natus Vincere, who had still not won a single match this season. The former Rebellion Esports lineup shocked the yellow hedgehog first with their Kalea-Cecilion combination. However, the next two games were a cakewalk for ONIC, as they got a quick two wins. In their second match, ONIC lost against Team Liquid ID in a back-and-forth series.
Team Liquid ID, meanwhile, started the week with a loss to the in-form Bigetron Esports. The Cavalry, fresh from their satisfactory showing in the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Masters 2025, could not grab the win against the Red Android in their 2-1 loss. However, they settled with a win against ONIC, where Yehezkiel “Yehezkiel” Wiseman became the key to a 2-1 victory.
With only five weeks left, both Team Liquid ID and ONIC still have sufficient chances to improve their final standings in the league. However, EVOS and Alter Ego Esports will serve as gatekeepers for ONIC and Team Liquid ID, respectively, in the next week of play at Indonesia Season 15.
MPL Indonesia Season 15 will continue with Week 5 on 25 April. Natus Vincere will look to get their first win of the season when they meet with Geek Fam ID in the week's opener.
