MPL Malaysia Season 15 Week 1: Selangor Red Giants OG impress with outstanding first win

The MPL Malaysia Season 15 started with Selangor Red Giants OG's first league win against fierce rival, Team Vamos.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15 officially started with the newly formed Selangor Red Giants OG (SRG.OG) making their season debut against Team Vamos in the first series of the week. The MPL Malaysia Season 14 champions made short work of their opponent with their 2-0 win, with Vincent “Innocent” Banal again proving why he is the league's king of the Gold Lane.

It didn't take long for Innocent to secure his first Savage in the league, only needing 16 minutes and 12 seconds to achieve it during the SRG.OG's first game against Vamos. The gold laner outclassed his opponents with his perfect positioning using Beatrix. Using Muhammad “Yums” Suhairi as his initiator, Innocent quickly made short work of everyone who jumped into his roamer with overwhelming damage using all of Beatrix's arsenal before changing back to Nibiru to finish the job.

Here are the MPL Malaysia Season 15 Regular Season standings at the end of Week 1:

  1. HomeBois (1-0) +2 Game difference (GD)
  2. Monster Vicious (1-0) +2 GD
  3. Selangor Red Giants OG (1-0) +2 GD

DXSoul Esports enjoy strong debut in MPL Malaysia Season 15

DXSoul Esports took down Ocean Black to debut their new roster in MPL Malaysia Season 15. The Challenger Stage team defeated Malaysia's MLBB Academy League Season 2 winner in a back-and-forth 2-1 series, proving themselves as the better debutant of MPL Malaysia Season 15.

DXSoul Esports took first blood against their opponent when Dale Rolan “Stowm” Vidor and Rasya Arga “Rasy” Wisista became the unstoppable duo with their Yve and Chou. Ocean Black couldn't handle the amount of crowd control that both of them dished out and lost their grip on the first game. Ocean Black did, however, make DXSoul Esports taste their own medicine when Kristiawan "Lionheart" Susilo picked Chou and Zhuxin for his team.

The third game showcased Rasy's brilliance as he ensured the Ocean Black lineup couldn't properly execute their gameplan. His expertise with Khaleed in breaking down any attempt by Ocean Black to gank or farm earned his team the win and the match MVP nod for himself.

MPL Malaysia will continue with Week 2 on 25 April. SRG.OG will meet DXSoul Esports in the first day, while Todak versus Ocean Black will end the week.
