The M6 World Championship has been announced and will return to the first venue of the series, The Axiata Arena

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) developer MOONTON announced that the M6 World Championship will return to the annual world championship tournament's first venue, the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The M1 venue will host the semi-finals and the grand final of the sixth edition of the world championship. The announcement was made in the MSC 2024's Grand Final between Selangor Red Giants and Falcons AP.Bren, which the Malaysian team won.

While MOONTON hasn't announced the exact date of the M6 World Championship yet, it is already known that the tournament will start some time in November.

The Axiata Arena was among the first witness of the rise of international MLBB esports. The venue hosted the grand finals between RRQ Hoshi and EVOS Legends (now EVOS Glory). The event was a resounding success, with EVOS Legends crowned the winner after a thrilling 4-3 series.

Three different champions have been crowned before it returns to Axiata Arena. Falcons AP.Bren (then Bren Esports and AP.Bren) were the only team that won the series twice, winning it at the M2 and M5 World Championships — a stark difference to M1, where none of the Phillippines representatives reached the semi-finals.

The return of the M World Series to Axiata Arena seems fated and coincides with the rise of Selangor Red Giants, the MSC 2024 winner. The champion possessed an outstanding 107 days undefeated streak of 20 consecutive matches during their crowning moment. The streak started in March 2024 when they got their first win in the MPL Malaysia Season 13.

SRG's reign of supremacy, however, had a bit of stain when they got a draw result against Fnatic ONIC in the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 group stage because of the best-of-two format of the stage.
