MSC 2024's Wildcard Tournament quickly approaches

MSC 2024 is quickly approaching, but before we get to the main event, we will see eight teams fighting in the Wildcard Tournament.

We only have a little over two weeks until the Wildcard Tournament for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024 kicks off, with eight teams hoping to claim their spot in the main event. Over the recent weekend, the final few teams locked in their spots for the Wildcard Tournament, and now we are beginning our countdown to MSC 2024 and the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The teams assemble

For the inaugural Wildcard Tournament at MSC 2024, we see many teams from around the world entering the event. The eight teams hail from Malaysia, Latin America, the CIS, Turkey, China, Nepal, Mongolia, and Vietnam – giving us a whole range of talent and brilliance to look forward to. The full list of teams is:

  • HomeBois – MPL MY Season 13 runner-up
  • Entity7 – MPL LATAM Season 1 runner-up
  • Brute Force – MLBB Continental Championship Season 3 runner-up
  • S2G Esports – MTC Turkiye Championship Season 3
  • Zino Zenith – M Challenge Cup Mekong Season 3
  • Trained to Kill – MLBB Champion Battles Season 3
  • IHC Esports – Mongolia Qualifier
  • KeepBest Gaming – China Qualifier runner-up

The format is confirmed

Before the tournament begins, the eight teams will be split into Group A and Group B – and while we do not yet know these groupings, we do know that the tournament will begin with a round-robin best-of-one. Once the best team in each group is determined, those two teams will advance into the Wildcard grand final, where a best-of-five will be played to determine who will claim the spot at the MSC 2024 Main event.

The rebranded MSC 2024 comes with a “See The World” theme, which fits in perfectly with the heightened global team presence and the venue, which takes the event to the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for this year. With the tremendous prize pool of $3,000,000, this year is set to break records for MLBB and MSC. We are all anxiously awaiting the start of the Wildcard Tournament and will continue to bring you all the updated news and information in the coming weeks.
