EVOS Glory clinched a tight victory against Geek Fam to secure MSC 2024 ticket and a grand final against Fnatic ONIC in MPL ID Season 13.
EVOS Glory completed their lower bracket run to meet 
Fnatic ONIC again in the MPL Indonesia Season 13 grand finals. The White Tigers narrowly defeated 
Geek Fam ID to secure a rematch against The Sky Kings of MPL Indonesia and one ticket to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for MSC 2024.
There is a difference in concept between how EVOS Glory and Geek Fam play. The White Tigers used their mechanical prowess to take control of the game, while the runner-up of MPL Indonesia S12 used their macro knowledge more to nullify their opponent. Both teams showed this perfectly from the first two games in the lower bracket finals of MPL ID Season 13.
The first game was a masterclass from Geek Fam, which showed how they understood the concept of macro-gaming with their pick of Luo Yi, Masha, and Edith. The art of engagement and pickoff was in the whole show when the geeks ended the game in 18 minutes from a crucial pickoff from Luke to the backline of EVOS Glory to grab the base turret.
The second game was the reverse. The White Tigers showed their mechanical prowess to counter every Geek Fam play. The drafting was on the game, too, from EVOS Glory. They were on point when they banned Helcurt, Luo Yi, and Masha, simultaneously picking Chip to disable The Geeks from using their signature pickoff strategy. The second game was all about EVOS Glory.
In the third game, Luo Yi again became the signature pick from Geek Fam as they continued to fight for global presence control in the game. It wasn’t as easy as the first two games, as EVOS Glory picked Alpha to counter Fredrinn. However, Geek Fam slowly regained control and ended the game at 18 minutes.
Once again, the geeks could secure their signature Luo Yi and further it with the dreaded Ling pick. Predictably, the geeks controlled the game for the majority of the game.
However, this advantage wasn’t for long, as the white tigers slowly regained their composure and focused their strategy on Novaria, making sure Clawkun could get the snipe in. By sheer willpower, EVOS Glory wrested the victory from Geek Fam’s hand.
The last game could be called the game of the season to date. Geek Fam and EVOS Glory proved they are worthy of being the grand finalists against Fnatic ONIC with their performances. Given how vital global presence heroes are in the current meta, both picked one, as Geek took Luo Yi, and Chip was on EVOS Glory. In the end, a mistake cost Geek Fam the victory they sought.
